Eat Healthy Food

What you eat affects how you feel.  Try to eat:

 * A daily serving of vegetables and fruits * Whole grains like brown rice and oats

 * Lean meats, fish, beans, or eggs 

 * Good fats like olive oil and nuts Also, drink plenty of water—about 6 to 8 glasses a day.

 

 Exercise Your Body Exercise helps your heart, muscles, and brain.  Try to move your body every day.  You can:

 * Take a bike or walk. * Dancing, sports, or swimming * Do exercises at home

 Even 30 minutes a day can make a big difference.

 Take Care of Yourself Mentally Mental health is just as important as physical health.  To feel calm and happy:

 * Talk to someone if you’re feeling sad or stressed

 * Take deep breaths or try meditation

 * Spend time with people you like

 * Do things you enjoy

 

 Get Good Sleep

 Sleep helps your body rest and grow.  Try to sleep:

 * Seven to nine hours each night * Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day

 * Avoid screens (like phones or TV) before bed
